Because of the effects of the political conflicts for the past month, the exports of Indian jewelry and Indian gemstones from India is said to be affected as well. Nevertheless, there is still a large number of members of the jewelry industry who believe that the wave of tension in the Middle East causes not much trouble to them.
Despite the continuous protests, trading of Indian accessories and jewelry is well-behaved as it goes through the West Asia via Dubai where there has been a significant increase of up to 30% in the jewelry industry.
The gold jewelry exported form India, for example, marked a $569 million sales that is roughly 15% higher than that same period last year. This goes to show that jewelry from India are still at its best albeit the gold is feared to be nearing its highest cost ever.
